Another Year of Beginnings

To my brothers and sisters of the faith, created by Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I wish you blessings of a joyful New Year! As I review 2007, my husband and I are in complete agreement, it was a spectacular year of trial by fire, and in no way we will celebrate the end of a tumultuous year. Instead, we celebrate the growth it brought us as His children. Indeed our faith is MUCH MORE precious than gold, as it says in 1 Peter 1:7 . The question we both discussed and entertained throughout the year was there a "mindset" or an "attitude" that we needed to acknowledge? At the year's end, it was clear to the both of us, by the Holy Spirit, that it was a simple trial of our faith. "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy." -- 1 Pet...

Light of the World American Sign Language Part 10

Here is the final clip! Very powerful clip! It talks about various religions and mentions specific religion by name. One of the religions mentioned here is the Catholic religion. I must say I do agree with most, if not all of the content in this clip for this reason, and this alone...the Word of God. Now, those of you offended by this clip or my agreement with it. I have this to say, I do my very darnest to live by the truth of God's Word, and the truth is (you don't even have to look in the Good Book to know this) that we live in a society divided and deceived by Satan. So please, no angry comments, unless you have a point or opinion to share respectfully. (preferably supported with scripture) Here are the scriptural references: John 14:1-3 ; Matt. 28:18 ; John 14:6 ; Romans 10:8-9 ; Deuteronomy 27:15 ; 1Peter 5:7 ; Matt. 25:23 God Bless! After posting this clip I found a wonderful post called " There's Something About Mary " in reference to the Roman Catholic Ch...

Light of the World American Sign Language Part 8

The details explained in this clip regarding Christ's beatings, I would imagine to be true in spite of the fact there are no specific scriptures to support the details listed. We can only imagine the horrors that Christ has suffered prior to his death! This is a sobering clip for me! In the midst of this life how easy is it to forget what exactly has been done for us! When we are stomping our feet and shaking our fists at God for not giving us whatever we think we deserve, we lose sight, we forget the humiliation, the horrid suffering of His, that overwhelms and swallows our insignificant, selfish ambitions! My heart aches for the pain He endured for my sins! He did it for us for the joy of our fellowship. Do we dare withhold it? Something so simple for hefty price! I'm going to do something that I don't normally do...I'm not going to list any scripture for this clip. We all know that this is a true event, this event is the very reason why we call ourselves CHRIST...

My Jesus

Worth a Thousand and One Words 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. Revelation 1 There are so many pictures of Jesus nowadays. Many denominations, have various pictures, or ideas of who Jesus was/is and what He looked like. Most of them show him, as fair skinned, with wavy, long, brown hair and blue eyes. Some show him a bit more rougher, thick, dark, curly, short hair with weathered, brown skin and piercing eyes. A picture says a thousand words. The description of John's vision of "the S...
