Walking in His Waterprints

Okay, now this is funny. Looking at my stats for this blog a month ago, I noticed I was getting some traffic from a porn site. Yes, that's right...porn. Well, I thought, my outreach is heading in the right direction and paid it no nevermind. A month later, I was contacted by a webmaster requesting a link exchange. The webmaster believed that my blog would fit perfectly into their "collection of quality links" on their site. In hindsight, his insistence that the email was not spam should have been my first clue that this request was not your typical link exchange request. Nevertheless, I clicked on the link and was bombarded with pictures of a woman displaying her ta-tas. My blog is a perfect fit for a porn site?! I was offended! The more I thought of it the more I realized that quite possibly, the webmaster may have taken my "no judgment/no hypocrisy" message a bit too far. So, I had to laugh. Shackled Liberty

I have a bone to pick! I must admit I am irked! Now, I pray that my spirit is led in a way that I can communicate clearly without letting my sentiments dictate my writing in truth and of scripture. Why is my liberty in Christ Jesus is always attacked by those who profess themselves Christian or Believers? And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning a...

Cheap Lessons

I am, at heart, a bargain hunter. I love to find the lowest prices for the best quality. There is just something about the thrill of finding a service or product for a reduced price. Its a sense of victory and accomplishment for me. I bring my conquests home and lay it out for my husband to see. Explaining how each and every item was obtained at a low price. In the same light, life lessons can also come cheap, in the fact that they can cost little or nothing by the way of negative consequences. I have found, as the youngest of six, the cheapest life lessons can come by simply watching and noting the results in the lives of others. My siblings have made many painful, life-altering choices. I hesitate to say that these lessons came cheap for me, it was heart-wrenching watching them go through the consequences of their choices. At the same time, I did sit up and take notice of how their choices have impacted their lives. Very much of who I am and the choices I've made in my own life, ...
