Parables: Can You Hear Them?

Image
I'm back. Seven years after my last published article on this site, I've come to revisit my old, cherished friend. Taking a much-needed break from IS & IT, I've spent the last seven years nurturing my passion for holistic living , becoming a herbalist, holistic writer, lifestyle consultant and a social media specialist for the natural products industry. To those who followed IS & IT back then...I'm sure you're curious...my final tally of Crumb-Snatchers...eight. :) So, I've been called to return to write with the knowledge that I've gained these past seven years. Having been through and currently am experiencing trials and tribulation, I write with a new mind that I haven't had previously. We live in strange times. Truth, if you share any love for her, is brutally under attack. These are times that call for an exposing of the lies that mislead, ensnares souls and depresses spirits that are by principle, free to see, roam and explore Trut...

Another Year of Beginnings

To my brothers and sisters of the faith, created by Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I wish you blessings of a joyful New Year! As I review 2007, my husband and I are in complete agreement, it was a spectacular year of trial by fire, and in no way we will celebrate the end of a tumultuous year. Instead, we celebrate the growth it brought us as His children. Indeed our faith is MUCH MORE precious than gold, as it says in 1 Peter 1:7 . The question we both discussed and entertained throughout the year was there a "mindset" or an "attitude" that we needed to acknowledge? At the year's end, it was clear to the both of us, by the Holy Spirit, that it was a simple trial of our faith. "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy." -- 1 Pet...

Still Alive and Highly Favored!

Dearest Readers, Please accept my sincerest apologies for my very silent blog. While I may be absent from the blog community, I'm most assuredly, not absent from my fight in defense of THE faith!! I cannot begin to express how dramatic these last two months have been for us. It seems as if everything is being thrown at us, one event after another. It is very CLEAR that Satan is doing everything in his power to shut us down! GOD BE PRAISED! For I am seen as a threat to the one who lies and deceives! Maybe some of you may call me crazy, but I cannot help but be honored, however tough these hardships are. The 11th chapter of Hebrews is such a bolster to me. Biblical greats such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, Peter, Paul, and John all sacrificed their lives (and desires to live a certain way) BECAUSE of their faith, which is to truly be defined as their LOVE for HIM. Yet, WE ALL have NOT "resisted unto blood, striving against sin" (Hebrews 12:4) My hardships are minuscule in light ...

An Update

In my last post, True Blessings, I mentioned my financial situation. I wanted to thank those who prayed for me and who have contributed to help us out in this time of need. My most heartfelt and humble thanks to you, you know who you are! I haven't posted in awhile in light of other responsibilities at home, I thank you once again for your patience! We are doing well and continue to be blessed with "gold tried by fire"! My husband and I have an appointment tomorrow to finalize our business plan. We are hopeful and prayerful that we can get back on track. Provident Medical Billing Services was established in 2005. Take a look at the website if you wish to see what we do. However, it has been "dormant" for a while. Hopefully with an approval for a business loan I will be able to dust it off! Though our situation still remains at high alert, we are confident and hopeful that the Lord will see these seeds sown in faith and give increase to our effort. We are also p...

Thorny Weather

Image
Do you have a thorn in your side? I do. In times of trials, every minute is a battle for my faith. At times, I find myself crying out for mercy and then, I understand that while He is merciful, He is also purposeful. He says to me, "Count it all joy." JOY?!? "Yes, joy. For the trying of your faith worketh patience. Let patience have her perfect work, so that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." James 1:2-4 So each day, I battle. Every hour, I fight. Every minute I paste a pained smile over my mind. While I wait patiently for Him. All the while, rebuking the Devil's lies that He (my Father) has forsaken me. What I realize....eventually....while I am without, a slow recognition begins to form. A miraculous transformation. I SEE His daily provision. I AM waiting patiently upon the Lord. So, bless this thorn! And count it all joy! I still battle and still I fight. This will be my lot until the Lord returns on high or until He calls me home. But, as I col...
