About a month ago I went on a fact finding mission about salt , and what I have discovered has been nothing short of a renewing in thought about refined and unrefined salt. I wrote a post on it on my second blog, Its Your Journey titled Is Table Salt Giving Salt a Bad Name? Here’s the rundown; refined salt, also known as table salt or “purified” salt has been processed to strip the salt of it’s natural minerals, leaving only sodium chloride. Sodium chloride is known to be aggressive without its natural counterparts, such as potassium, calcium and other minerals found in unrefined salt. Needless to say sodium chloride taken in large amounts has led to the belief that salt is bad and should be limited or removed completely from our diets. Truly, it is irresponsible for anyone who confesses belief in Jesus Christ of Nazareth and the power of His blood which give us remission of sin to ignore the extremely divided state in which today’s Christian culture resides. Legalism is the act/belief that physical behaviors lead to salvation and/or righteousness. Some examples may be; church attendance as as condition for salvation. Ultimately, you have your own beliefs and I have mine. I am not attempting, nor have ever tried, to change your mind about the KJV, and you will never convince me to go against the prompting of the Spirit and my own personal experiences with both translations, so any further discussions will be futile and a waste. In light of my most recent response to a comment, I decided to write posts in regards to myths that are frequently mistaken for truth in today's climate of Christianity. Starting with the topic of modern translations. Some Christians from various denominations promote their preferred translation against the KJV. Their most popular argument against it is this: "The KJV is out-dated in language, therefore (insert point/argument here) and should not be studied out of".   While, I unabashedly prefer the KJV and use it in all my posts, I have never encouraged others to abandon their translations, only that they research it. The truth of the matter is, not all translations are created equal. The author/publisher of the translation should be researched. And if you have full trust in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to give you wisdom in choosing a translation, where can it be "wrong" to question the motives of a modern author/publisher, considering the capitalis...

The short answer is no, one cannot assume because of an old language that the KJV does not and cannot offer the principles and teaching of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and His Gospel.
