Winter Blessings
Hello everyone! May God be praised and glorified! I am healthy and well as is my family. The Lord continues to be a buckler and shield, a help in time of need. His provision is timely and His trials are like an oven to my faith, ripening it unto perfection! By His Will and Grace, He has given us a vehicle in which we can further our service to Him. Not only are we transporting our family to work and school with His provision, but are helping those who lack transportation. We fully recognize the purpose of His timely provision, is for His Kingdom and Glory! All things He has given us are His and should be used accordingly! Yes, He has increased my quiver that is full of arrows to one more! We are expecting our 6th child! That is to be due in the spring of next year. After a hard round of morning sickness, my pregnancy is in full swing. Thanks to all of those who have prayed for us, you know who you are :) May the Lord bless and use you to glorify Him and His precious Son!
My sister recently visited Hawaii and showed me beautiful pictures of Honolulu. She spoke of the beautiful ocean and wonderful scent in the air. This got me thinking of something I have not thought about, I think, ever. A vacation. I've accepted a long time ago vacations weren't for us in this point in time, after all Jesus Christ is my rest.
"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his" -- Hebrews 4: 9-10
(Please note "therefore" in verse nine, indicating a conclusion to the explanation/ clarification listed in the verses prior to it)
For some odd reason, I've been beginning to entertain the possibility of vacation for the simple reason of enjoying family time outside of our home. The idea of visiting another country seems exciting and thrilling. I was sent some information in regards to vacationing in the United Kingdom. It's supposed to be rich in history and heritage. There is of course, a lot of church history there, although I have to say it is not all positive. A lot of it is unknown by today's Christian. I have often thought about what it would be like to visit the UK. Quite honestly, I would prefer to visit someplace warm during the winter months. If I were to travel there, it would be more for educational purposes in understanding how the modern church has moved so far away from it's scriptural roots. In any event, those of you who are interested in the United Kingdom, and seriously considering traveling there, here are some hotel rates you may find reasonable:
London Hotels : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/United-Kingdom/London/
Edinburgh Hotels : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/United-Kingdom/Edinburgh/
Glasgow Hotels : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/United-Kingdom/Glasgow
When all is said and done, Christ remains my daily rest. If I should never experience a vacation in this lifetime, I know there is a much greater vacation spot waiting for me when my work on this earth is done! May God bless you and keep you warm!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the pregnancy! You must be very, very excited!
God bless, and Shalom!
Peace be with you Hannah, you are blessed.
ReplyDeleteThe good news is that the time has come,
the harvest is ripe.
The UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) is full of history and beautiful scenery. Its a "green and pleasant land". London is an amazing and exciting place to visit full of historical things to see.
ReplyDeleteBest time to come is July-August when the weather is warmer and it rains less.
Thank you Sicarii :) I'm trying to adjust mentally to my pregnancy. I'm a pretty active person, and I keep forgetting that I can't do the things that I normally would do. :)
ReplyDeleteWe are all very blessed to add another person to love and cherish to the household.
God bless and Shalom to you as well my brother.
