Messianic Jews Persecuted in Israel

Romans 11 explains very clearly the RIGHT attitude and stance we, as
believers in the power of the blood of Christ Jesus of Nazereth should
have towards unbelieving Jews in Israel.

Christianity has been defined by human hands and minds that has stolen
and corrupted the beauty of what is truly Christian that is clearly
testified by the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit.

And it is by this failure that many modern day Christians (MDC) have
isolated and angered many unbelievers in Israel, as their bloody history
has a direct connect to the falsehoods promoted by our Christian
heritage of "Convert or die!"

Yet many MDCs believingly accept Christianity as it is presented to
them. This is a deathly serious problem as many swallow a manufactured
"belief" blind to the history of Christianity, blind to truth of
scripture. MDCs are rendered completely ineffective to promote the
"mystery of the gospel", because even the Gospel remains a mystery to
them!! Romans 11:25

How can the Messiah be received by them (Israel) if MDCs promote their
Messiah (Israel) and MDCs' Christ, fused with pagan holidays and
rituals, to be one and the same?? If Christ is to be rejected, let them
reject him with full knowledge, answering only to God alone. But what a
travesty if He is rejected because of a horrendous, misrepresentation
and distortion of the Son of God, the Jews' Messiah, and Savior of the
world. I have been told by many a Christian that the holidays (Easter &
Christmas), they keep are a matter of the conscience. I reject that as
an excuse not to recognize and accept the truth...there is no question,
in light of my point, that it is a core matter of SOUND DOCTRINE, in
other words....the GOSPEL of Christ. The holidays MDCs celebrate drive a
stake in the heart of the Gospel and doctrine of Christ, in the simple
fact that the "Christ" created by Christian history is not the same
Messiah they are "waiting" upon.

I'm seeing a new trend in modern day Christianity (once again). Just
about 7 years ago I started studying prophecy and Israel. Many churches
(of various denominations) then, had nothing good to say about Israel,
many churches condemned Israel. As of late I'm hearing a lot of MDC
(Modern Day Christians) support Israel. (I suppose many would look silly
not doing so, as prophecy continues to be fulfilled). I'm seeing a lot
more Christian TV broadcasts regarding Israel, supporting Israel, by
televangelists I consider to be "false prophets". That's all fine and
dandy, but my earlier point holds true, how in the world are MDCs going
to reconcile a Christ associated with borderline paganism and a
prophesied Messiah...unless of course, they don't expect to do any
proselytizing. It would much easier to keep old time traditions and
"support" Israel in word and cash $$$ because common sense dictates that
they would never accept a pagan Messiah anyway...

Messianic Jews Say They Are Persecuted in Israel

10:03 AM EST June 22, 2008

"Ami Ortiz, injured when a booby-trapped gift for his family exploded
in his home in March, is wheeled by his brother at Tel Hashomer Hospital
in Tel Aviv on June 11.

Safety pins and screws are still lodged in 15-year-old Ami Ortiz's body
three months after he opened a booby-trapped gift basket sent to his
family. The explosion severed two toes, damaged his hearing and harmed a
promising basketball career.

Police say they are still searching for the assailants. But to the
Ortiz family the motive of the attackers is clear: The Ortizes are Jews
who believe that Jesus was the Messiah.

Israel's tiny community of Messianic Jews, a mixed group of 10,000
people who include the California-based Jews for Jesus, complains of
threats, harassment and police indifference.

The March 20 bombing was the worst incident so far. In October, a
mysterious fire damaged a Jerusalem church used by Messianic Jews, and
last month ultra-Orthodox Jews torched a stack of Christian holy books
distributed by missionaries.

Israel's Foreign Ministry and two chief rabbis were quick to condemn
the burning, but the Ortiz family says vigorous police action is
needed.

"I believe that it will happen again, if not to us, then to other
Messianic believers," said Ami's mother, Leah Ortiz, a 54-year-old
native of South Orange, N.J.

Proselytizing is strongly discouraged in Israel, a state that was
established for a people that suffered centuries of persecution for not
accepting Jesus and has little tolerance for missionary work."
