My Slide Show

I'm currently working on a website and created a "video" to place on it. The slideshow is still a rough draft. I thought I'd post it here to see how it looks. It's very amateurish, but I would love to hear opinions on it. By the way, it's the first time I've attempted to create a "video". I'm having so much fun with it!

    That's quite nice, Hannah. Just a spot or two where some words of certain verses seem to be cut off.

    Being nosey, I'm asking what site it is, ha ha! :P

    Yes, I see that... Thanks Isaiah :) I'm not liking the design of the second to last slide...I think I'll change the font color...

    Actually the website doesn't have an offical name or address just yet. Its a spin off of this blog and will incorporate both of my blogs. I'm kinda doing things backwards :) instead of building a website and a blog to go with it, I'm building a website for my blog... oh well, I've always gone against the flow anyhow (a good thing in light of this "backwards" society right?)

    I'm putting all the details together, so I don't expect it to be done until fall. I'm having so much with it, organizing information is my field. You'll be the first to know as soon as its up and running ;)

A relative and I were having a fascinating discussion about sin. He made a statement that rang very true to me. "So many Christians are obsessed with sin". For a long while, since reading other posts and forums about sin, I've been dwelling upon and studying about that matter. Translation vs. Paraphrase

Up until about four years ago, I studied primarily out of the New Living Translation. It was simple to read and I was comfortable with it. However, I did notice through out my studying in that specific translation, that passages just weren't making any sense. My husband preferred the King James Version and studied out of that, our studying together almost always ended out of the KJV version for the simple fact that the NLT was not adequate in conveying some of the principles of the Word. My husband, at that time worked for Tyndale House Publishing (which publishes the NLT version) gave me a Bible published by them called "The People's Parallel Edition". This edition had the KJV and NLT side by side. It was only then I began to see a true difference between translations. Romans 8:1 in both of these versions comes out different.
