What's Going On In London??

A few years ago, I discovered a wonderful ministry by Zola Levitt, a Messianic Jew or in other words a Jewish Christian. I have been a regular reader of his free newsletters up until I moved two and half years ago. However, I frequent his website and occasionally catch the show. Zola Levitt is now with the Lord and his Savior. I miss reading his witty humor and supernatural answers in defending the faith and his beloved Israel. Reading the latest newsletter, August 2008, I found a disturbing comment in the "Ask Zola" section. Please read below...

Takeover of Britain Continues
Dear Staff,
Greetings. I receive the monthly Levitt Letter in England, where it used to but no longer arrives in an envelope. Just the other day, two American-born Christians giving out literature were arrested by Muslim police. As you know, ours is daily becoming more and more like a police state. On two accounts, I have found my Levitt Letter ripped open and tampered with, I assume by my Muslim mailman. In the last edition, you had two cartoons that could get me in trouble. In the future, can I ask you to please send it in an envelope that cannot be tampered
with? Please understand that this is not the U.S.A. and that the police are scared of Muslims here. Thanks. M. B.

British police afraid of Muslims??? Muslim police in Britain??? When did that happen and why has it been allowed?!? It is for this reason I am bold, and affront in my posts. There is no room or time for flowery and sugary messages. There is no time for condemning messages of morality. It is time for fighting Faith! While we all fuss amongst each other, we do not recognize that there has been a breach in security, and has been for a long time now. While we stand divided the enemy moves in quietly and determined. And divided we still stand, ignorant, silly and prideful in our flimsy intelligence.

Yes, I'm angry! I'm angry because we fuss about the dangers of homosexuality and obsess of moral purity, when we clearly understand that is only by the power of grace we are made right in the sight of God. While we fuss about specks and spots, the camel we "swallow" is "only by Faith can we be saved". Only by Faith can we be "pure".  Yes, we all nod our heads in agreement. Herein lies the problem, we have failed to move on beyond the basic understanding of Salvation. As a result we, as vulnerable babes, are powerless to deal with the evil that moves quickly on us.

"Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." -- Hebrews 5:11-14

"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God," -- Hebrews 6:1

And what a damn shame it is! Yes, our shame be damned! For we have a God that we believe in, have faith in, and trust who is mighty beyond human thought. We have His Spirit, or at least access to that Spirit that can empowers the most weakest of all. We have a Christ who has overcome the world and "WHO is he that overcometh the world but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God"? 1 John 5:4-5 But divided we are, in the dark, and fussing about the "spots" on our clothing!

Let the Word be a warning to us ALL:

"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." 1 Thessalonians 5:2-4

And what appears to be happening in London....that day is right around the corner! It is PAST time to awake out of sleep!

I don't endorse a lot of ministries, as a matter of fact I don't endorse them at all. The only whole hearted endorsement I make is the unity of fallen man to his Savior, Christ Jesus and the Father who created us and loves us all. However I have found Zola Levitt and his ministry to be "in spirit and in truth". I strongly encourage anyone interested in prophecy, Israel and the truth to check out the ministry under the power of the Spirit, fully recognizing that no matter who seems "legit" only God can provide the answers we seek, if He should choose to provide them. Translation vs. Paraphrase

Up until about four years ago, I studied primarily out of the New Living Translation. It was simple to read and I was comfortable with it. However, I did notice through out my studying in that specific translation, that passages just weren't making any sense. My husband preferred the King James Version and studied out of that, our studying together almost always ended out of the KJV version for the simple fact that the NLT was not adequate in conveying some of the principles of the Word. My husband, at that time worked for Tyndale House Publishing (which publishes the NLT version) gave me a Bible published by them called "The People's Parallel Edition". This edition had the KJV and NLT side by side. It was only then I began to see a true difference between translations. Romans 8:1 in both of these versions comes out different.
