A Thought to Share

I was visiting a brother-in-Christ's site and commented on a post he had on Obama. I wanted to share my thoughts here on this post. In light of the general Christian perspective on Obama, and the election of our next presidential candidate, here are my thoughts on the matter.

If we believe in a risen Messiah who has saved us unto eternal salvation, then
we know all is temporal. If we believe that our Christ will return on high, then
we live as foreigners on earth. Knowing this, we are alive and well during the
end times, we know what the eventual end of America will be. No one elected will
form America into moral correctness or purity. It is a fantasy and one not in
alignment with the Gospel.

We have suffered through 8 years under George
W. Bush "rule". We all know what group elected him into office, America has not
gotten any better morally... proving without a doubt the manifestation of the
Word,

"That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the
power of God." -- 1 Corinthians 2:5

If any Christian is inclined to
vote, by all means vote! But do it under the power of the Holy Spirit. Do it
with the will of God in mind, unlimited by the parameters of human thought and
reasoning. Never forgetting, that it IS the will of God for Christ to reign
FOREVER as King. Knowing this will, we must be prepared to accept that His
wisdom of the next President of the United States just may not line up with
yours...

Keep your eyes heaven-ward for it IS nearer than when we first
believed...

In the love of Christ,
Hannah

  1. Amen!

Indeed, it is true that it is never safe to solely rely on the wisdom of men, but to always look to Jesus Christ as the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Thus, allowing this mind to be in us, which was also in Him! Jn. 14:6; Phil. 2:5
