Westboro Baptist Church says it will picket Elizabeth Edwards’ funeral
Posted: December 9, 2010, 9:20 am ET
(CNN) — Members of the Westboro Baptist Church announced Thursday plans to picket Saturday’s funeral for Elizabeth Edwards in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The Kansas-based Church — monitored by anti-hate groups such as the Anti-Defamation league and the Southern Poverty Law Center — is known for its extremist opposition to homosexuals, Jews and other groups.
The church members also oppose the War in Iraq.
According to the church’s website, members will hold a protest from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Edwards, the estranged wife of presidential candidate John Edwards, died Tuesday after a six-year battle with breast cancer.

Huh?? What in the world does Elizabeth Edwards have to do with...ummm....anything? The fact that this...group calls itself "church" is not only laughable, but a clear lie.
Churches in general may have lost my respect by the way they have poorly represented Jesus Christ of Nazareth & His Gospel, but I absolutely refuse to call this group a church. What's next on their list? Blacks? Maybe we already are on it!
Seriously, they should just make a policy change in their organization...instead of Sunday attire at their weekly gathering, they should just don white robes with pointy hoods...its more honest that way.
